Event Description

The overwhelming support behind South Africa’s action is an expression of the international outrcy and resistance from the global south against the atrocities committed by Israel, with the collusion of the imperialist west.

If Israel believes it can act with impunity and ignore the initial rulings of the ICJ, why is the case against Israel so significant? Why are countries such as Nicaragua now building a case to charge the US, UK and allies with complicity in genocide? What does it mean for global hegemony? With negotiations resuming, how close are we to a legitimate ceasefire and release of illegally detained Palestinian prisoners?

We will explore all these questions and more. We are in an era where decades are happening in weeks and history is in the making. The multipolar world is emerging and the Global South is rising against the tides of western hegemony. Palestine is at the heart of internationalist, anti-imperialist, anti-colonial struggle and one that cannot be divorced from the revolts happening across the globe.
